Wayne Thiebaud (November 15, 1920) began his career working as a sign painter, illustrator, & cartoonist in New York & Hollywood. Associated with Pop Art & as a predecessor of photorealism, Thiebaud found his signature style with brightly colored still-life paintings of desserts.
