Jim Dine, an avid printmaker, has fearlessly experimented with printmaking for much of his career. Using techniques like woodblock printing, collage, drypoint, collagraph, intaglio, and more, the artist pushes the boundaries of printmaking through his attention to variety and hand-working. Dine often creates prints in small editions with added hand-painting and drawing over the printed layers, giving those works the look of a unique work, blurring the lines between painted, drawn, and printed.
